GODS MINISTRY TO THE PROSTITUTE.
A lost sense of hope comes about when some one feels that they cannot change a bad situation. Especially when they have no one to turn to. Hope is what drive to carry on each day but if we dont have it, we seldom care for ourselves and engage in dangerous activities but Jesus says that I have come that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly. Jesus came to bring hope to our lives. We need to hesitate to wake up every morning because he will give you strength for each new day no matter how bad your situation is. |

HAPPINESS AND JOY
Having a sense of happiness can give you the drive to do many things in life as opposed to feeling angry. An angry person can feel weak and even fall ill sometimes. Refer to Psalm 16:9. When the heart is happy so is the body. Happiness can protect you from stress related illnesses. |

| RAPE VICTIMS Rape is a very traumatic experience and a remains a huge problem in society today. It results in post traumatic stress disorder and usually involves these or more disorders. Withdrawal, replaying the trauma in your mind and depression. Recovery is an ongoing process. The person seldom feels safe after that. Some people turn to drugs and alcohol to just to numb the pain and recurring images of the experience. Remember to turn to God in your darkest hours not away. Even if you feel dirty from that incident God says that you should go to him when your heart is heavy. To protect yourself from rape: *You must avoid walking alone in dark places. *Open your own drinks in clubs to avoid being drugged and raped. In addition, dont drink too much as this can impair your judgment. *Avoid being alone with males who make unwelcome compliments about your body. Relatives included. *Learning some self defense helps. *Do not rely on your date for transport back home from a date. *Do not invite strange men to your house, get to know the guy first. *If you live in crime prone areas get some pepper spray or other tools to defend yourself. If you have been raped, consider counselling. You need not be ashamed. Its very likely that the counsellor knows some women who have been victimized. You can form a support group where you openly share your feelings they will understand your point of view. |
