WOMEN AND NON TRADITIONAL CAREERS Women need to be encouraged to take on careers in fields such as science and engineering. Young girls can be taught from an early age to have an interest in challenging jobs and that they are capable of being more than a hairdresser or a secretary. Not to say that these jobs are bad but there needs to variety and girls have to know that they dont have to fit the common stereotype of what society expects them to be. They can be encouraged to explore different types of fields. Female engineers and technicians are in short supply therefore Jobs in these fields pay more. |
